This class made me a globally aware citizen throughout the whole year, but the most in the last days of the final trimester. The preparation and analysis for my research about the disappearance of honeybees really opened my eyes about conflicts around the world that are potentially killing our Earth. How pesticides are killing close to half of our bee population, the biggest source of pollination for 1/3 of the food humans eat. Also how greenhouse gases have increase 400% in the last few years causing temperature to rise 3.6 degrees ever year. Lastly, I learned the important of eating organic and local foods and how theses labels help save air pollution and support local businesses. Although the actions of one person (me) can not really change the world, I hope that people can see this site and think about making little changes that will help preserve our world as long as possible!
This collection of pictures is to show types of vegetation honeybees pollinate and ways that humans are killing these insects.
