I have improved myself as a person this year by starting to take the initiative in things I want to accomplish. As a cheerleader, I'm supposed to be very loud and obnoxious during games, competitions, and practices, but that's not always the case. My coach started notices and began yelling at me to cheer! So I had to. I started breaking out of my shell little by little starting at practices because i'm comfortable with everyone on the team. I am a backspot in stunts and with this position comes yelling the counts out during anything that we are doing. This year I started working on that a lot and made sure I always did it, even if I was the only one of the whole team yelling at the time. I also began yelling at football and basketball games making sure I always knew if we were on offense and defense to be able to follow the game. Lastly, I was never a tumbler (someone who does flips) until just recently when I started going to practices to learn how to. This was always a dream of mine and now that I want to, I'm going to.
This picture is of my team after we won first and grand champions at a Mercy competition. We all had to work together to achieve these awards and it defiantly payed off. I couldn't let my weakness of being quiet take away from what we all deserved.
